Skin Installation Help

How to Install Skins

Download the Skin Zips
Note that Skin zips are separated based on their Menu styles
Extract The downloaded zip and select your desired skin color
Goto Extension Installer and Install the skin
Select Skin option when prompted
N.B Skin size is big so you can receive TimeOut Error, in this case Unzip the skin zip

and upload that folder Manually i.e Use Ftp and Upload the Extracted skin folder to

"yourdnn/portals/_default/Skins" folder
Goto Host > Skins and you will find the skin appearing in the list
If no skin Thumbnails appear ; Click Parse Skin Package link

How to Install Containers

Note: You have to extract the downloaded zip first
1) Install one Container zip at a time

e.g use ContainerBlue.zip from the containers folder ; donot upload the whole DimensionContainers.zip

2) Install TransparentBanners.zip as a Container not a skin.

Install Using Extension Installer and Select Container option when prompted

How to use Headers

To Apply header in your page ; Add a Text/html module to the Pane you need header in typically BannerPane or the SliderPane.
Then Goto that HTML module's Settings and Apply the required Header container to it
Thats it You are done

What is SlideShow Pane?

This Pane will show as slides - all/any modules added to it.
You can use it by adding four text modules in the slideshow pane
Apply different banner containers to them and your header slideshow is read

3) Upload files one by one

The Image Sliding (or Fading) Pane

You Can view this pane in our home demo page, you can Simply Insert our especially designed banner (TransparentStyleBlank_Simple) for this pane. In this banner you can simply insert your image, than insert another TransparentStyleBlank_Simple banner to insert the second image than so on.. just insert one image in one container, Dont put other banner or container than TransparentStyleBlank_Simple If you aware of ie alpha transparency issue because the png fix htc file make any other container or banner looks horrible. The Image Slider pane is named as Slideshow pane so insert images as much as you want in that pane. You can easily Change The Effect of jquery To Scroll, Shuffle and any other you want, Simply Open Your Desired ascx file in any editor and look at that code jQuery('.slideshow').cycle({

Inserting Image Or Content In Slider Panes

If you want to insert 4 images and content in panes than follow these simple steps:

Insert text/html module in Slideshow pane
Than Go to edit content and insert your desired image and content which you want to show as image#1 or content#1
Insert another text/html module in Slideshow pane for Content #2
edit content and put your image or/and content which you want to show at number #2
Follow these steps for content#3 and 4 and/or image#3 and 4
Apply TransparentStyleBlank_simple banner on every text/html module

All the issue for jquery conflicts with dnn 4 are solved in dnn 4 package, so you can easily install and use that package in dnn 4 Skin Is comes with 3 menu styles so the X_m1.zip Means Menu Style 1 (Where X is the Colour Of skin) , X_m2.zip Means Menu Style 2 (Where X is the Colour Of skin) & X_m3.zip Means Menu Style 3 (Where X is the Colour Of skin)

Skin XHTML Files

There are 30 ascx files are in one skin zip with same name css file and markup xml files. Width and backgrouds are donated in .ascx file names for example:
Fixed1024_bg1 Means this is the file with 1024px resolution width and with background number 1Fixed1280_bg2 Means this is the file with 1280px resolution width and with background number 2Fullwidth_bg5 Means this is the file with fullwidth resolution width and with background number 5 the user can also change the background and width through skin widget
